This is an extract from the 1881 Census Returns for Northumberland which includes Haydon Bridge.
Living at number 96 Haydon Bridge North Side is John A Hetherington. John, aged 32 years, was the head of the household, married with five children. His occupation was that of a Civil and Mining Engineer and he was born at Allendale in Northumberland.
