Crowds assembling in Front Street, Newbiggin, for an August Bank Holiday parade of decorated floats and carriages through the town. On the right hand side you can see Rutherfords, the chemist, and Maddison, the grocers. These were two long established businesses in Newbiggin. Also seen is the Old Ship Hotel before alterations to it were carried out.
