Cramlington, Soup Kitchen - Click for bigger imageCramlington's soup kitchen in the Black Watch football field (East Cramlington). This was straight opposite East Cramlington school. Soup kitchens were used to provide a meal for people who were very poor. This sometimes was a result of strikes, such as the miners strike.
