Newbiggin-by-the-Sea, Salvation Army Life Saving Guards - Click for bigger imageThe Newbiggin-by-the-Sea Life Saving Guards. The Guards were formed by the Salvation Army and had similar interests to the Baden Powell Movement. The Guards were eventually amalgamated with the Girl Guide movement.
