An article relating to celebrations in the Bellingham area for Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee.
The Hexham Herald was first published in January 1868. In common with other provincial newspapers it provided detailed local, national and international news. It ceased publication on the 16th February 1926 and was taken over by the Hexham Courant. The Hexham Courant is still in publication today.
The Northumberland Archives Service holds many original and microfilm copies of Northumberland Newspapers.
