This entry, extracted from the Longhoughton parish burial register, refers to Margret Adams. Margret was the second daughter of Thomas Adams who was the Bailiff of Longhoughton. Margret was buried on the 7th April 1725.
When a person is buried an entry is made in the burial register. Of particular interest are the burial registers of the period 1798-1812. These are known as Bishop Barrington registers. Shute Barrington, Bishop of Durham, ordered that additional information should be recorded, for example, a person's age and occupation when they died. Burial registers of Longhoughton parish are deposited with Northumberland Archives Service.
