This entry, extracted from the Prudhoe parish burial register, refers to Isabella Hetherington. Isabella was buried on the 7th Fenruary 1893 aged only 14 years.
When a person is buried an entry is made in the burial register. Of particular interest are the burial registers of the period 1798-1812. These are known as Bishop Barrington registers. Shute Barrington, Bishop of Durham, ordered that additional information should be recorded, for example, a person's age and occupation when they died.
