Mental Arithmetic Examination - Click for bigger imageA mental arithmetic examination performed by an unidentified school pupil in only 15 minutes. This is an extract from a collection of drawings, examples of handwriting and aritmetic tables produced by school children in the schools of Allenhead, Carrshield and Ninebanks. The children were hoping to win a prize for their work donated by Thomas Sopwith of Allendale.
