This is the Removal Order issued by Prudhoe township with regard to Thomas Forster of Prudhoe.
These documents were produced to combat the problem of poor people taking residence in a foreign township and claiming parish relief. People who fell on hard times or who were unable to work became the responsibility of their native parish. If they settled any where other than the parish in which they were born, a removal order could be taken out to send that person back to their native parish or township. In this particular case Thomas is being sent from the township of Prudhoe back to the township of Prudhoe Castle.
