Morpeth Petty Sessions - Click for bigger imageThis page relates to the charges brought against defendants whose court cases were heard on the 14th February 1912, by the Morpeth division Petty Sessions court. Entry 189 relates to the charges brought against Robert Wilson and George Dodds for larceny [theft]. Petty Sessions were introduced to hear less serious cases, leaving the Court of Quarter Sessions to deal with more important cases. The Northumberland Archive Service holds Petty Sessions records for the divisions of Bedlingtonshire [which includes Blyth], Bellingham, Haltwhistle, Morpeth, Tynedale and Hexham.
