Forged Bank Note - Click for bigger imageThis is a forged bank note [assignat] produced at Haghton Paper Mill near Humshaugh during the French Revolution. The forged assignats were imported into Frances from England, in the hope that they would be confused with the genuine assignats of the French Government.
