Amble - Census Information

This is an extract from the 1881 Census Returns for Northumberland which includes Amble. Living at Donkins Cottage is Jane Gair. Jane was the head of the household, a widow and was 72 years old. Her occupation was that of a Mangle Woman. She was born at New Falloden in Northumberland. Census Returns are an excellent source when doing family history.
