This is an extract from the 1881 Census Returns for Northumberland which includes Holy Island.
Living at number 117 Holy Island Castle is Alfred Dean. Alfred, aged 37 years, was the head of the household, married with six children. His occupation was that of Sergeant in the Royal Artillery. He was born at Taunton in Somersetshire.
