This is an extract from the 1881 Census Returns for Northumberland which includes Chillingham.
Living at Cillingham West Lodge is Robert Cessford. Robert, aged 47 years, was the head of the household and married. Living with him were also his nephew, a female servant and a boarder. His occupation was that of a Game Keeper and he was born at Chillingham in Northumberland.
