This is an extract from the 1881 Census Returns for Northumberland which includes Doddington.
Living at the Mill House is Robert Cock. Robert, aged 48 years, was the head of the household, married with five children. His occupation was that of a Corn Miller, and he employed three men. He was born at Doddington in Northumberland.
Census Returns are an excellent source when doing family history. The Northumberland Record Office holds microfilm and microfiche copies of the Northumberland Census Returns from 1841 to 1901.
