This is an extract from the 1881 Census Returns for Northumberland which includes Duddo.
Living at number 19 Duddo Village is James Davidson. James, aged 52 years, was the head of the household, married with fourteen children, the youngest of which was only five days old. His occupation was that of an Agricultural Labourer and he was born at Barton in Northumberland.
Census Returns are an excellent source when doing family history. The Northumberland Record Office holds microfilm and microfiche copies of the Northumberland Census Returns from 1841 to 1901.
