Warkworth, The Ancient Bridge - Click for bigger imageThe ancient bridge over the Coquet River at Warkworth. Built in the late fourteenth century, it has two large arches and a bridge tower at the southern end. Because of this tower it is known as one of England's few fortified bridges.
