Wark-on-Tyne, St. Michael's Anglican Church - Click for bigger imageColoured postcard exterior view of St. Michael's Anglican church at Wark-on-Tyne. It is the third church to be built there, and is in the Regency Gothic style. Consecrated in 1818, it is said that the altar cross was given to the church by George V, and had come from the chapel in Buckingham Palace where it had been a gift from the Russian Tsar Nicholas II.
