Ford, Flitting Day at Hay Farm - Click for bigger imageHay Farm, Ford, on Flitting Day. Farm workers, known as hinds, were normally employed on a one year basis. On the 12th of May each year, the workers would "Flit" to the farms looking for work for the coming year.
