Alnwick St. Johns Roman Catholic School HMI Report - Click for bigger imageThis page and the two following pages make up the school inspector's annual report for Alnwick St. John's Roman Catholic School. It is addressed to Rev. Joseph Gibson, Catholic Chapel House, Alnwick, and signed by R. R. W. Lingen. In the report it is stated that attendance at the school was "more irregular than in any School I have ever inspected." The inspector goes on to say he is reluctant to allow any grant of money to take place.
