This entry, extracted from the Beadnell parish burial register, refers to Sarah Dunn. Sarah died on the 14th February 1802 and was buried on the 15th February 1802 aged 68 years. She was the wife of Wm. [William] Dunn, a Fisherman of Beadnell.
When a person is buried an entry is made in the burial register. Of particular interest are the burial registers of the period 1798-1812. These are known as Bishop Barrington registers. Shute Barrington, Bishop of Durham, ordered that additional information should be recorded, for example, a person's age and occupation when they died.
