This entry, extracted from the Warden parish baptism/burial register, which included Fourstones, refers to William Soulsby. William died on the 11th July 1812 and was buried on the 13th July 1812 aged 19 years.
When a person is buried an entry is made in the burial register. Of particular interest are the burial registers of the period 1798-1812. These are known as Bishop Barrington registers. Shute Barrington, Bishop of Durham, ordered that additional information should be recorded, for example, a person's age and occupation when they died.
