This entry, extracted from the Kirknewton parish burial register, which includes Milfield, refers to Isabella Reed. Isabella died on the 7th April 1807 and was buried on the 10th April 1807 aged 14 years.
When a person is buried an entry is made in the burial register. Of particular interest are the burial registers of the period 1798-1812. These are known as Bishop Barrington registers. Shute Barrington, Bishop of Durham, ordered that additional information should be recorded, for example, a person's age and occupation when they died.
