Hexham Courant - Click for bigger imageAn article relating to the delivery of a new Lifeboat at North Sunderland. The Hexham Courant was first published in August 1864. In common with other provincial newspapers it provided detailed local, national and international news. The Hexham Courant is still in publication today. The Northumberland Archives Service holds many original and microfilm copies of Northumberland Newspapers.
