This is an extract from the 1881 Census Returns for Northumberland which includes Prudhoe.
Living at number 139 Prudhoe Village is Andrew Spence. Andrew, aged 47 years, was the head of the household, married with three children. Two of the children were his step children. Andrew's occupation was that of a Coal Miner and he was born at Newcastle upon Tyne.
